Tasting Notes

The Experience

One of the better Connecticut experiences I’ve had recently.

Cream, cedar and natural sweetness show up immediately, followed by caramel, honey, almond, toasted nuts and a soft bread-like note that gives the smoke a very rounded texture.

As it develops, coffee becomes more defined alongside vanilla and butterscotch, while the cedar and gentle spice keep everything from becoming overly sweet. The final third turns slightly more toasted, with coffee and wood becoming more prominent while still holding onto enough sweetness and nuttiness to stay balanced.

Construction was excellent: long compact ash, steady burn and an effortless smoke from start to finish.

Final Thoughts

“Creamy, naturally sweet and layered, with enough coffee, nuts and toasted character to give it real depth. Definitely one I’d smoke again and keep in the humidor.”
