The Experience
A classic, traditional smoke with much more emphasis on spice and wood than on creaminess or sweetness.
Cedar and toasted wood lead from the beginning, joined by nuts, earth and a pleasant natural tobacco sweetness. Baking spices and pepper become more noticeable as the cigar develops, while occasional hints of coffee, cacao and light caramel add some roundness without changing its overall character.
The 38 ring gauge concentrates the flavors nicely, especially toward the final third, where wood, earth and pepper become more pronounced. This is definitely a cigar that rewards a slower pace.
Construction was very good, with a clean burn, firm ash and well-defined flavors throughout.
