Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne
Connecticut | Medium
88 out of 100. My Score: the CigarSolace Scale
A Connecticut with its own personality, excellent construction and more evolution than I initially expected.
The Experience
A Connecticut with its own personality, excellent construction and more evolution than I initially expected.
The first third opened clean and slightly dry, with natural sweetness, toasted bread, cedar, light wood, subtle almond and dry vanilla. The vanilla carried a slight bitter edge that added character without becoming unpleasant.
The second third stayed fairly consistent—bright, toasted and refined rather than overtly creamy.
Then came the final third, and that’s where everything came together for me. The vanilla became rounder, the toasted notes softened, the sweetness integrated beautifully and a noticeable creaminess finally emerged, giving the smoke a silkier texture.
Excellent burn, firm ash, effortless draw and plenty of smoke throughout.
Final Thoughts
“A refined Connecticut that saved its best expression for the final third. I only wish that beautiful creaminess had arrived a little sooner.”
