Tasting Notes

The Experience

A well-constructed and balanced Connecticut with a lighter, more toasted expression than I initially expected.

From the first draws, light wood, mild coffee, toasted almonds and nuts, soft earth, subtle natural sweetness, and gentle spice shaped the profile. The Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Cameroon binder, and Nicaraguan filler created an approachable Mild-Medium experience with good balance throughout.

The texture leaned more toward dry and toasted than deeply creamy, with subtle transitions as the cigar progressed. Construction was one of its strongest qualities, delivering a consistent draw and stable burn throughout the smoke.

While I expected a richer and more indulgent expression, I appreciate what the blend delivered on its own terms. I would especially like to revisit another one after additional humidor rest and see how the profile develops.
