Gran Puro Nicaragua — Robusto
Medium–Full | Smoking Time: ~1h 10m
84 out of 100. My Score: the CigarSolace Scale
A well-constructed cigar with a clearly defined Nicaraguan character, built around earthy, roasted and nutty flavors.
The Experience
A well-constructed cigar with a clearly defined Nicaraguan character, built around earthy, roasted and nutty flavors.
Dry earth and roasted coffee led the first third, accompanied by cedar and moderate pepper. As the cigar progressed, a dry nuttiness became more noticeable, adding some depth alongside toasted nuts and a subtle touch of cacao.
The profile remained remarkably consistent through the final third, favoring definition and continuity rather than dramatic transitions. Construction was solid throughout, with a consistent draw, firm ash and an even burn.
While I personally tend to gravitate toward more natural sweetness, creaminess and evolution, I can appreciate the straightforward character of this blend.
Final Thoughts
“A solid choice for smokers who enjoy dry, earthy and roasted Nicaraguan profiles.”
