The Experience
Some cigars reveal themselves slowly.
The Alfonso Gran Selección began dark and structured — dark chocolate, espresso, cacao, clean earth, toasted nuts and oak, with restrained spice and a subtle natural sweetness.
But the second half changed the experience.
The smoke became noticeably more oily and enveloping. Espresso and cacao remained, while cedar, coffee, toasted nuts and natural sweetness created a rounder, more harmonious profile.
By the final third, it wasn’t intensity that kept my attention. It was texture, balance and depth.
Dark. Refined. Beautifully composed.
Not necessarily creamy or traditionally indulgent — but rich, polished, and increasingly enjoyable as it developed.
Definitely one I would smoke again.
