Tasting Notes

The Experience

A well-made Connecticut with a clearly defined identity, but one that leaned much drier and more toasted than what I usually look for.

From the start, toasted wood and a noticeable bitter edge set the tone, with mild-to-moderate pepper adding structure. The profile stayed consistent through the second and final thirds, with very little movement toward the creaminess, sweetness or nuttiness that would have rounded it out more for my palate.

Construction was solid and the flavors were clear, but the experience remained firmly in that dry, woody and toasted lane from beginning to end.

Final Thoughts

“A good option for smokers who enjoy a more traditional, drier Connecticut profile. For my palate, I simply prefer more creaminess, natural sweetness and roundness.”
