90 out of 100. My Score: the CigarSolace Scale
There’s something unmistakable about a good Cameroon wrapper.
The Experience
There’s something unmistakable about a good Cameroon wrapper.
This one is all about aroma and balance: toasted cedar, roasted nuts, warm spices and a beautifully present natural sweetness, with a subtle zesty note that keeps the profile bright.
The Cameroon remains the protagonist from beginning to end. The profile doesn’t change dramatically, but it doesn’t need to. The sweetness keeps the spice controlled, while the cedar and slightly bready character give the smoke structure.
Construction was excellent — consistent draw, steady burn, generous smoke and an impressive ash.
Paired neat with Angel’s Envy, the vanilla, caramel and dark-fruit character of the bourbon complemented the Cameroon beautifully.
Not a dark cacao-and-espresso experience. This is something different: aromatic, sweet, woody and elegantly spiced.
A Cameroon I would absolutely smoke again.
