The Experience
A very different experience than expected.
The cigar looked beautiful, but from the moment I held it, something felt off. Near the cap it felt unusually dry and fragile.
Once lit, it delivered dark earth, leather, roasted notes, and dry spice typical of San Andrés. Unfortunately, the smoke lacked density and richness, while the burn moved too quickly with an overly open draw.
Fine tobacco particles constantly entered my mouth during the smoke, strongly suggesting poor storage, heat exposure, or humidity loss before reaching my humidor.
Even after nearly two months resting under controlled conditions, it never fully recovered.
What disappointed me most is that I could still sense glimpses of the blend’s potential underneath the damage.
This experience reminded me how important proper storage truly is for premium cigars.
Final Thoughts
“I honestly don’t believe this represented the real profile of Blue Eyed Jack’s Revenge.”
