ADVentura is a brand that likes to tell stories. Its co-owner is Henderson Ventura, and its cigars are made at Tabacalera Mina del Rey in the Dominican Republic. Its pirate series is the darker side of the brand: it began with Barbarroja's Invasion and continued with Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge, both with boxes whose lids talk.
Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge, released in 2024, has a Mexican San Andrés colorado wrapper over a Dominican binder.
I have two ADVentura notes. Barbarroja's Invasion, dark and intense, scored 86. The Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge I smoked had clearly suffered from poor storage before it reached me, so I did not score it.
