Rocky Patel’s cigar for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States is shipping to retailers this week. The company had originally planned a September release, so it arrives a few weeks behind schedule.

The America 250 comes in a single size, a 6 x 52 toro. It pairs a Mexican San Andrés wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler, and it is made at the company’s Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Although it is a new release, the cigars are not freshly rolled. According to the company, they were made in early 2025 and have rested at the factory for about a year and a half before shipping.

Nish Patel, executive vice president of Rocky Patel, describes the blend as medium-full, with dark chocolate, espresso, a touch of spice and some floral notes toward the finish.

Production is limited to 2,000 boxes of 20 cigars. The suggested retail price is $15 per cigar, or $300 per box.
