About Famous Nicaraguan Selection
Famous Nicaraguan Selection is a line sold by Famous Smoke Shop, the Pennsylvania retailer, which has long offered its own value cigars, such as the Famous Nicaraguan 3000. The 2000 is the Connecticut of the family: an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and long filler from the country's volcanic regions.
According to Famous, it is made by a small Nicaraguan factory that asked not to be named, and the blend was made on spec before any store agreed to carry it. Famous presents it as an everyday cigar, not one for special occasions.
My note is the Robusto Extra Long, a pleasant, well-balanced Connecticut, at 85 points.
