Patina Cigars and Viso Horny are bringing back the Verdigris, the limited robusto they released together earlier this year. The new run is called ReVerdigris and ships to stores on Monday, Oct. 26.
It is the same cigar, a 5 x 52 robusto with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed binder and Nicaraguan filler, made at Nicaragua American Cigars S.A. in Estelí. The difference is that these cigars rested for nine months before release, and the branding changes slightly.
The run is smaller this time: 200 bundles of 10, or 2,000 cigars, down from 300 bundles for the first Verdigris. The price stays at $13 per cigar.
The name comes from verdigris, the green coating that can form on copper and brass. The artwork honors the Midwest roots of the two founders, Mo Maali of Patina, from Chicago, and Tyler Jeffery of Viso Horny, from Milwaukee, with drawings of the Chicago skyline and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
