League of Fat Bastards Is Up for Sale
Founder Adam Levine has put the 2024 cigar brand, created to raise awareness of men's mental health, up for sale after a turbulent few months.
Adam Levine, founder of League of Fat Bastards, has decided to sell the company. He shared the news with halfwheel on October 20 and did not give a valuation.
The brand launched in March 2024 with a mission to use cigars as a way to start conversations about men’s mental health. Its first line was Serie L, followed by Serie O in November 2024. The portfolio also includes Skinny Bastarda, developed by Patricia and Raquel Quesada to honor women in the cigar industry, and Wingman, a limited edition released in November 2025. The core line was made by Joya de Nicaragua.
The sale follows a difficult stretch. In September the head of international sales left, and a U.S. sales representative told retailers the company had paused operations. Levine disputed that, saying the company still sold to large catalog retailers but had stopped opening new accounts. Earlier this month he said he was the only person still working there.
In a document Levine provided, the company says the brand needs an owner with the production and distribution that its current owners cannot build, and that its community and trade relationships would transfer with it. Levine says he is open to staying on to help, including as a global brand ambassador.
Levine also said he wants to keep growing The League, the brand’s paid online community.
